With my knowledge, we co-create completely personalized actions based on your goals to move you toward your ideal vision of health within your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and resources.

I received my training to practice Health Coaching at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, which is the only nutrition school integrating all the different dietary theories—combining the knowledge of traditional philosophies with modern concepts like the USDA food pyramid, the glycemic index, the Zone and raw foods.

I am a June 2007 Board Certified graduate (CHHC) of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, which is affiliated with Columbia University and SUNY Purchase. I continue my studies with Integrative Nutrition (IIN) as an Ambassador and Lifelong Learning Student. I am Board Certified and accredited by the American Association of Drugless Practicioners (AADP) and in September 2010 was honored as a recipient of the Homegrown Spirit Award (RYASAP).

The decision to begin training in this new career path was influenced by my own personal experience with the school’s 6 month wellness program.

Wanting to lose weight, and being tired of being tired, I embarked in April 2006 on what was to become a journey of balance. This began with adding positive choices to my lifestyle which has improved my weight, health, nutrition, & fitness and has continued to include improving my career, relationships and spirituality. With an IIN 2006 graduate as my holistic health & wellness coach, I learned about and experienced first hand how lifestyle, physical activity and food affects our overall health, happiness and well being.

I have learned how to live a better life through eating well and taking care of myself and I want to share this knowledge with others, and support them, as I continue to learn even more!

You will find over a dozen of my favorite recipes published in the Johns Hopkins University Press Publication "Get Smart: Samantha Heller's Nutrition Prescription for Boosting Brain Power and Optimizing Total Body Health" by Samantha Heller.

September 2011 brought an invitation to become an internet radio show host on FTNS - The World's 1st Fitness Radio.  The opportunity to create my show - The Green Gate - Your Doorway to Great Food and Healthy Living - engaging, upbeat and loaded with inspiration to support you and yours daily in health and happiness was an amazing 3 year run, 3 times a week of sharing my voice, passion, community connections and the voices of so many who shared their dedication and expertise over the internet airwaves!  Loyal followers, near and far across the globe came together with a common purpose of seeking and achieving health and happiness.  It truly was a pleasure and a privilege to be fully engaged in this amazing opportunity.  Thank you to all who listened in, checked us out and joined the conversation!

I live in Fairfield, CT with my always positive husband of 32 years. We have two very cool and creative sons, ages 23 & 27, who we are so very proud of.   Our oldest son, Bill is an Eagle Scout and attended 3 years at MECA (Maine College of Art) in Portland, Maine before spending 7 months in an apprenticeship position located further up the coast at The Squire Tarbox Farm working the land, living off grid and running to the local farmers markets.  He currently works in his fifth year now at Richfield's Farm & Garden Center, a mom and pop and grandpa run garden center in NJ enjoying the seasons and even manages their social media.  Our youngest son, Weston, was recognized for his music & leadership abilities and graduated high school in 2012.  He is a 2016 Keene State College Graduate and has relocated to Portland, Maine.  He continues to stay close to ski country, currently working at Rodgers Ski & Sport!  During college, besides managing classes, he found satisfying opportunities in life skills and farm to table focused venues where he mentored under-serviced youth locally in NH and VT.  We have an almost  7year old Boykin Spaniel named Bronson, who found the love of his life in Arusha - the FTNS radio mascot!  You can continue to follow Bronson on his travels on his Facebook page.

I look forward to the opportunity to support you in living an even healthier, happier life and to guiding you on your personal path to energy and balance...
for healthy living, from your inside out!

-Amie
