Split Pea Super Power Soup

"Not your mama or grandma's split pea soup!"

1 bag organic split green peas, 16 oz

4 carrots, quartered and chopped

4 stalks celery, chopped

1 large onion, diced

1” – 2” tumeric root

3 – 4 cloves fresh garlic

2” – 3” piece kombu sea vegetable 

Smoked paprika

Cayenne pepper & fresh ground pepper, to taste

Sea salt

5 leaves Swiss chard

2 leaves collard greens 


  1. In a soup pot: Coat bottom with Olive Oil or coconut oil. 
  2. On medium heat, add peas, carrots, celery, onion, turmeric, garlic, kombu and 5 cups water. Stir on medium heat for 2 - 3 minutes.
  3. Cover. Reduce heat to medium low and cook until all is tender, about 40 minutes.
  4. Add seasonings.
  5. Process in Vitamix in small batches, adding fresh greens.
  6. Check seasonings and enjoy.

Serving suggestions: Drizzle with herb infused olive oil, sprinkle with smoked paprika or hemp seeds.
